Description
JDY Performance introduces the 300M Heavy-Duty Connecting Rods — a significant upgrade over traditional 4340 steel rods — specifically developed for high-output 2.5L TFSI EA855 engines (chain-driven). Designed to thrive under the intense conditions of extreme performance builds, these i-beam rods are rated up to 300HP per cylinder, making them the go-to solution for enthusiasts chasing Anyturbo at 76mm or higher power levels.
Why 300M over 4340?
While 4340 steel is a standard for performance applications, it falls short in durability when exposed to the elevated cylinder pressures and high torque abuse seen in builds pushing beyond 1150+ wheel HP. 300M alloy steel, originally developed for aerospace and motorsport use, offers:
Higher tensile strength
Superior fatigue resistance
Better performance in extreme temperatures
This means better reliability, less chance of rod failure, and peace of mind when pushing the limits.
Other than the material superior , JDY 300M Drag rods offers :
Thickened I-Beam Design
Reinforced structure for increased rigidity and strength, crucial for high boost and high RPM stability.
Deep-Drilled Oil Tunnel
Allows continuous oil flow between the piston pin and rod bearing — maximizing lubrication and minimizing wear.
Dual Oil Grooves
Oil groove in side the small end of the connecting rods, provides extra lubriaction on the hard working wrist pins.
Grooved big-end for optimized crankshaft lubrication
High-Grade Bolts Included
ARP 2000 3/8” bolts (standard)
ARP Age 625+ (optional upgrade for max durability under ultra-high boost)
Fully Machined and Balanced
Every rod is precisely balanced, pin end-angled, and QC-checked for optimal engine harmonics.
